Iran has said progress has been made on some issues in ongoing talks, but no final agreement will be reached until all disputed matters are resolved.
According to an Iranian official cited by Reuters, negotiations are continuing on key points, while Tehran’s priorities include a ceasefire, lifting of sanctions and stabilisation of the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the presence of senior Pakistani officials in Tehran shows that the diplomatic process has entered a decisive stage.
He said Qatar’s role in Pakistan’s mediation efforts is also important as regional diplomacy intensifies.
Nuclear issue remains sensitive
Baghaei said the reason for not discussing details of nuclear talks was clear, adding that doing so in the past had helped create a war-like situation.
He stressed that Iran is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Iran says Trump should accept proposal
Iranian Defence Ministry spokesman Brigadier Reza Talai said President Donald Trump had no choice but to accept Iran’s demands. He warned that if the United States did not accept Iran’s demands, it would face further defeats.
Brigadier Talai said continuing the war would force the United States and the world to bear greater financial losses, urging Trump to accept Iran’s proposal.
