Saudi Arabia has confirmed the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah moon, with Eid-ul-Azha set to fall on 27 May.
The Saudi Supreme Court stated that the crescent had been sighted, and declared that the first day of Dhul Hijjah will be 18 May, while Yawm-e-Arafah will be observed on May 26. In Indonesia, authorities confirmed the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon, with Eid ul Adha also scheduled for 27 May.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Indonesia stated that the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah has commenced, and that Eid ul Adha will be observed on Wednesday, May 27.
In Tunisia and Türkiye, the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon has also been confirmed, with both countries marking 18 May as the first of Dhul Hijjah and May 27 as Eid-ul-Azha.
Türkiye has further maintained its practice of following a pre-determined Islamic calendar based on astronomical calculations, rather than traditional moon sighting methods.
