Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Jassim Al Thani to discuss the evolving regional situation, ongoing peace efforts, and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders exchanged views on diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
During the telephonic discussion, both leaders reviewed the current regional situation and ongoing diplomatic engagement related to peace efforts.
They emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and constructive cooperation among all stakeholders to maintain stability in the region.
Pakistan appreciates Qatar’s support
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar and appreciated Doha’s continued support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives.
The conversation also reflected the close coordination between the two countries on regional and international matters.
The prime minister conveyed warm wishes and congratulations to Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during the call.
He also said he was looking forward to the Emir of Qatar’s upcoming visit to Pakistan, expressing hope that the visit would further strengthen bilateral partnership and cooperation.
Pakistan and Qatar have maintained close diplomatic and economic ties, particularly in trade, investment, and regional cooperation.
Officials believe continued high-level engagement will help deepen collaboration between the two countries across multiple sectors.
