Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that imperialist thinking and policies of exploitation will have no place in the future world.
In a statement issued on social media, he said Iran’s policy is based on mutual respect and the promotion of friendly relations founded on shared interests. He added that imperialist thinking and exploitation have no place in the future world, and said tolerance is deeply rooted in the nation’s culture.
The Iranian president added that the struggle against oppression is a notable part of Iran’s history, and that the journey of national identity for the country’s progress will continue.
Separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said in a statement on social media that whenever a diplomatic solution is placed on the table, the United States turns instead to what he described as irresponsible military adventurism.
He questioned whether this amounted to an attempt at pressure, or the outcome of pushing former President Donald Trump into a new quagmire.
Pezeshkian has added that whatever the reasons, the outcome remains the same, stating that the Iranian nation does not bow to pressure.
