Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Thursday that Pakistan has proved before the world that it is fighting terrorism, while India is promoting it.
Addressing a ceremony marking the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, Tarar has said India had staged the Pahalgam incident in a highly absurd manner and attempted to build a narrative around it. He said that truth remains the most important element in the formation of any narrative.
The federal minister has said that Pakistan succeeded in demonstrating that it stands in the front line of the fight against terrorism.
He added that there was complete harmony in Pakistan’s thinking and actions, while the nation, government and armed forces stood united.
“We gave the enemy one clear message that we are united, and when we stand united no one can defeat us,” he said.
Tarar stated that Pakistan responded to the enemy at every level through strategy and coordination.
He said the issue of occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not India’s internal matter. The federal minister maintained that Pakistan has rendered the greatest sacrifices in the war against terrorism and that those sacrifices were made for global peace.
He alleged that India is involved in state-sponsored terrorism.
Tarar said the people of Pakistan stood above every form of division and remained united. He praised the Pakistani media for responsible and serious reporting, while accusing Indian media of spreading baseless narratives contrary to facts.
