The price of gold fell by Rs2,100 to reach Rs477,862 per tola on Tuesday, according to market figures.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, a continued decline was observed for the third consecutive day in both international and local gold markets.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Association reported that the price of 24-carat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,100 to Rs477,862. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grammes of gold dropped by Rs1,801 to Rs409,689.
Silver prices also recorded a decrease, with per tola rates falling by Rs65 to Rs7,849.
In the international market, gold declined by $21 per ounce, settling at $4,555.
Earlier on Monday, it was reported that the price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed the big decline.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,800, bringing the new rate to Rs479,962.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,257, settling at Rs411,490. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs2,986 to be sold for Rs377,212.
