Gold prices continued to fall for a fifth consecutive day in both international and domestic markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), rates for gold and silver declined further on Friday. The price of gold per tola in Pakistan slipped below the Rs500,000 mark.
In the local market, 24-carat gold fell by Rs2,900 per tola to Rs490,862. The price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs2,486 to Rs420,835.
In the international market, gold declined by $29 per ounce to $4,685.
