Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire in Lebanon.
According to details, Israeli troops targeted several areas in southern Lebanon in breach of the truce. Lebanese officials said that prior to the ceasefire, Israeli attacks had either completely destroyed or severely damaged 40,000 homes. A French soldier serving with the United Nations peace mission was also killed during the Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
Meanwhile, during clashes in southern Lebanon, one Israeli soldier was killed and more than nine others were wounded. The Israeli military stated that one of the injured soldiers remains in critical condition.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the violations of the ceasefire, stating that attacks on peacekeepers are unacceptable. He noted that the killing of peacekeepers in Lebanon marks the third such incident in recent weeks and called for an end to the attacks, urging both sides to uphold the ceasefire and cease hostilities.
Arab media reported that Israel has established a self-declared ‘yellow line’ inside Lebanon. The destruction of homes in Lebanese villages, along with shelling and machine-gun fire, continues. A similar ‘yellow line’ had previously been established in Gaza.
