The head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnea, has said the mission in Iran will not be complete until there is a change of regime.
According to Israeli media, Barnea said that during the recent conflict with Iran, Mossad operated in the heart of Tehran and provided precise intelligence to the Israeli Air Force. He said missiles posing a threat to Israel were targeted.
Barnea said the mission was not intended to end immediately but would continue under long-term planning to secure results even after strikes in Tehran.
He added that Mossad’s responsibility would end only when an 'extremist' government is replaced, adding that regime change in Iran remains the mission and that no existential threat would be met with silence.
