The new Pakistan Super League franchise, Hyderabad Kingsmen, has appointed Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne as its captain.
According to details, the team - set to debut in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League - announced Labuschagne’s appointment through an animated video shared on social media platform X.

The decision has sparked criticism among cricket fans, many of whom expressed dissatisfaction over the choice of a foreign captain for the franchise.
It is worth noting that Labuschagne is the third Australian player to captain a team in PSL 11. Karachi Kings will be led by David Warner, while Multan Sultans will be captained by Steve Smith.
