Pakistan registered a commanding victory over Bangladesh in a rain-affected Twenty20 match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Batting first, Pakistan amassed 274 runs in 47.3 overs, with Maaz Sadaqat scoring a brisk 75 off 46 balls, complemented by Salman Agha’s 64. Mohammad Rizwan contributed 44 runs while Sahibzada Farhan added 31.
Bangladesh, chasing a revised target of 243 in 32 overs, struggled under pressure, being bowled out for 114. Maaz Sadaqat led the Pakistani bowling effort with three wickets, while Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three and two wickets respectively.
The match saw early setbacks for Pakistan with wickets falling at regular intervals, but a solid middle-order performance stabilised the innings. Bangladesh’s innings never recovered from early losses, as Litton Das top-scored with 41.
Pakistan’s bowlers maintained tight lines and exploited the conditions effectively. The victory extended Pakistan’s dominance on the tour and highlighted their ability to adapt to wet and interrupted conditions.
