Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not rely on talks alone and will also stage protests.
Addressing a press conference alongside other party leaders, the chief minister said the struggle of the PTI continues and will continue. He said the party is preparing its strategy and will come forward with 'Plan A, B and C'.
Afridi warned that if a protest call is issued this time, it will not be possible for anyone to contain it. He said constitutional, legal and democratic avenues have already been adopted for the health of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The KP chief minister said the party’s legitimate demand for medical treatment of Imran Khan has not been accepted. He renewed the demand that Imran Khan should receive treatment at Shifa International Hospital.
CM Afridi said attempts are under way to disqualify him despite being an elected chief minister. He also said consultations have taken place for the establishment of a “Imran Khan Release Force”, adding that its draft has been prepared and a formal announcement will follow soon.
