Iran’s national security adviser, Ali Larijani, has issued a response to remarks made by US President Donald Trump.
Larijani stated that the Iranian people, who revere Ashura, are not intimidated by hollow threats. He added that those who have failed before you were greater than you, and you too may face destruction.
The national security adviser further warned to be cautious, for the Strait of Hormuz is either an open passage for all or a narrow route for those who seek war.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said that a war with Iran could end quickly, but not this week. Rising oil prices may prompt harsher attacks on Iran.
Trump also stated that if Iran takes any action to stop the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, it will suffer twenty times the damage it has endured so far.
