The price of gold in the global and local markets saw another massive drop on Monday, a day after witnessing a hike in the previous session.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs6,500, bringing the new rate to Rs533,362, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs5,573, settling at Rs457,271. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs5,109 to be sold for Rs419,180.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by a huge $65, reaching $5,106 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs37 to Rs8,894, while 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs31 to be sold for Rs7,625.
