The price of gold in the global and local markets saw a fourth consecutive drop on Friday, after another massive decrease.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,400, bringing the new rate to Rs533,762, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs2,915, settling at Rs457,614. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs2,672 to be sold for Rs419,494.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by a huge $34, reaching $5,110 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs104 to Rs8,914, while 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs89 to be sold for Rs7,642.
