Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing deep concern over the attack on Iran and the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Gulf.
During the call, the prime minister strongly condemned the tensions triggered by Israeli attacks on Iran and offered Pakistan’s constructive role in restoring peace.
In the telephonic conversation, Prime Minister Sharif condemned the tension that has arisen in the region following Israeli strikes on Iran. He described such measures as dangerous for peace and warned that they could further worsen the situation.
The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the escalation and the instability it has created across the region.
Solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Gulf nations
Prime Minister Sharif assured the Saudi leadership of Pakistan’s full solidarity and unwavering support. He emphasized that Pakistan will stand with its Saudi brothers in every difficult hour and will continue to support Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
Pakistan also expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries amid the rising tensions.

During the call, the prime minister offered to play a role for peace in the tense regional situation. He stated that Pakistan is ready to play a constructive and positive role at this critical stage to help de-escalate tensions.
Shehbaz Sharif underscored Pakistan’s willingness to contribute toward regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
Prayers for peace during Ramazan
The prime minister also prayed that peace, stability and harmony be established in the region as soon as possible, especially with the blessings of Ramazan.
He expressed hope that calm would return to the Gulf and the wider Middle East through collective efforts and responsible leadership.
