The price of gold and silver in Pakistan saw another sharp rise for the fifth consecutive day, as demand for gold in global and local markets remains high in the context of Iran-US tensions.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs3,000, reaching Rs536,562 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,572, taking it to Rs460,015. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a hike of Rs2,352 to be sold for Rs421,695.
International gold prices
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce has hiked by $30 to reach $5,138 per ounce.

Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the same trend, with the price of silver per tola rising by Rs146 to Rs9,094 in Pakistan, while 10 grams of silver also hiked by Rs125 to be sold for Rs7,796.
