Former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has said he could not understand the team selection against New Zealand.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme Zor Ka Jor, Afridi said that when the weather is bad, the decision is always made in favour of bowling. He said that the Green Shirts' coach appeared confused and added that the presence of Fakhar Zaman makes a significant difference to the side.
Afridi said that the coach and captain need to take firm decisions. He maintained that the national team is balanced in every respect and is capable of winning the World Cup.
He also pointed out that there are many fine players in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and said the selection committee ought to have placed the list of those players before PSL franchises.
