Mild tremors were felt in the district of Kalat, Balochistan, and its adjoining areas, causing fear among residents who stepped out of their homes as a precaution.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 3.5 on the Richter scale. Officials said the epicentre was located about 45 kilometres south of Kalat, at a depth of 11 kilometres beneath the surface.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far. However, the relevant authorities are monitoring the situation.
