Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has delivered a sharp rebuke to head coach Mike Hesson, alleging that he is panicking while making decisions and lacks the ability to take firm calls.
Speaking on Zor Ka Jor aired by Samaa TV, the former captain launched severe criticism of the national team’s coaching set-up. He said the Pakistan coach is “very weak”, becomes nervous at the time of decision-making and does not possess the capacity to take decisions.
Afridi questioned whether the coach is afraid of the media and social media. He said a better combination could have been fielded and that Fakhar Zaman could also have been played against India.
Former Test cricketer Tauseef Ahmed said that Khawaja Nafay does not fit into the side at present. In view of the prevailing weather conditions, he said, the team requires a fast bowler. He added that Usman Tariq is not being utilised properly, which could prove detrimental to the team.
