The price of gold in Pakistan has seen a sharp rise for the second consecutive day, following reports of a possible US attack on Iran that stirred global and local gold markets.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by a huge Rs7,900, reaching Rs523,962 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,773, taking it to Rs449,212. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a hike of Rs6,209 to be sold for Rs411,792.
International gold prices
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce has fallen by $79 to reach $5,012 per ounce.

Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the same trend, with the price of silver per tola rising by Rs358 to Rs8,404 in Pakistan, while 10 grams of silver also hiked by Rs307 to be sold for Rs7,205.
