If you created a childish or embarrassing email address at a young age, Google has now introduced an important feature to save you from that embarrassment.
Long requested by users, the feature is finally being rolled out by the tech company. According to Google’s account help page, Gmail account holders will now be able to change their existing email addresses while keeping their data safe.
However, the update instructions are currently available only on the Hindi version of Google’s support page, suggesting that the feature has initially launched in India.
The page also notes that the feature will be gradually introduced for all users worldwide, indicating that a global rollout is planned but may take some time.
Meanwhile, the English version of the support page still contains instructions stating that email addresses cannot be changed.
So far, Google has not issued an official statement regarding this new feature.
