Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said on Wednesday that the struggle for 'real' independence would continue within the limits set by the constitution and the law.
Addressing the Insaf Students Federation in Peshawar, he said his party had always carried out its struggle within the constitutional and legal framework. “The constitution grants us the right to peaceful protest, and we will use this right under all circumstances,” he said.
The chief minister said anti-state political parties had, for the sake of power, repeatedly harmed state institutions and democracy, warning that the conspiratorial elements would try to provoke the youth and urged them not to lose focus. Addressing young people, he said they should remain alert to "anti-state narratives and negative propaganda".
CM Afridi said corrupt elements had introduced a wrong political culture and the politics of chaos. Reiterating his position, he said the struggle for real independence would continue within the bounds of the Constitution and the law.
The chief minister added that complete preparation at every level, until the founder’s next call, remained their objective.
