After remaining stable for a day, the price of gold witnessed a major decline in Pakistani and global markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by a massive Rs7,000 per tola, bringing it down to Rs423,662.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola has reduced by Rs19,400 in four days.
In the local market, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs6,002, settling at Rs363,221. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were sold at Rs332,964, down by a good Rs5,502 compared to the previous day.

On the international front, gold dropped by $70, reaching $4,013 per ounce, reflecting a consistent downward trend driven by strengthening global currencies and cautious investor sentiment.
Silver also declines
Silver prices also followed the same trend. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs123 to be sold for Rs5,245, while 10 grams of silver were being sold for Rs4,496.
