A joint counter-terrorism exercise between the Pakistan Army and the United Arab Emirates’ presidential guards concluded in Tarbela, focusing on operations to rescue hostages.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise, Jalmood-I, ran for two weeks and involved units of the Special Services Group (SSG) and UAE presidential guards. The General Officer Commanding of the SSG attended the closing ceremony as the guest of honour, alongside senior UAE military officials and diplomats.
The ISPR said that the exercise emphasised joint operational skills in counter-terrorism operations aimed at hostage rescue. The initiative sought to strengthen military cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
