Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that, by the grace of the Almighty Allah, political and economic stability had set Pakistan on the right course.
Addressing a dinner held in honour of senators from government and allied parties, the prime minister welcomed the participants and thanked them for their cooperation in approving the 27th amendment.
The premier expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari and to the leaders of all allied parties for their support. He said that every coalition partner had stood firmly behind a national approach aimed at strengthening the federation, promoting harmony among provinces and improving governance.
The prime minister said that all milestones achieved by the present government were the result of mutual cooperation among allied parties. He added that Pakistan’s diplomatic successes reflected the unity and understanding among coalition partners, and that through their joint efforts the country had earned a distinguished position.
