The Chief of the General Staff of the United Kingdom Army, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker, lauded the achievements and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the UK army chief called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Gen Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters. Upon his arrival at the GHQ, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent.
During the meeting, the UK Chief of the General Staff and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and measures to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
Both sides agreed to enhance mutual collaboration for regional peace and stability, and emphasised the need for continued cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The UK Chief of the General Staff also visited the Martyrs’ Monument and paid his respects.
