Senator Faisal Vawda has sought the support of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman over the tabling of the 27th constitutional amendment.
Speaking to media after meeting the JUI-F supremo, Vawda said: "I and Fazl do not discuss about the numbers. The problem is not about the numbers, but it is important to take Fazlur Rehman into confidence."
Vawda has acknowledged the role of Rehman, saying, "The role of Maulana Fazlur Rehman over the 27th constitutional amendment will be vital."
Speaking about the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Vawda said: "The PPP is the guarantor of the system. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari likes to uphold the democratic principles."
Faisal Vawda maintained that it is important to respond when the writ of the state is challenged.
