Following a slight decline a day earlier, the gold price in Pakistan witnessed a massive increase on Friday.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs5,300, reaching Rs424,162 in the local market.
The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold stood at Rs363,650, reflecting an increase of Rs4,544, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs333,357, showing a gain of Rs4,057.
Global gold prices rise
In the international market, gold prices increased by $53, reaching $4,018 per ounce. The rise in global prices is attributed to renewed investor interest amid economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations.

Market analysts said the appreciation of the US dollar and shifting interest rate expectations have pushed investors towards safe-haven assets like gold.
Silver prices also see hike
Silver price in Pakistan also followed the same trend. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola witnessed a hike of Rs158 to reach Rs5,192, while 10 grams of silver were being sold for Rs4,451.
