Former legendary England fast bowler James Anderson has received a knighthood.
According to details, the 43-year-old was knighted by Princess Anne at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, 28 October. Anderson, England’s all-time leading Test wicket-taker, claimed 991 wickets during his career, including 704 in Tests.
He retired from international cricket in July 2024 after more than 20 years of service, leaving the sport as one of the greatest fast bowlers in history.
The honour recognised Anderson’s outstanding contribution to English cricket. From now on, he will be officially known as Sir James Anderson, a fitting tribute to a modern legend of the game.
