The country’s total foreign exchange reserves rose by $43 million in one week.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the total reserves reached $1.9854 billion. The central bank’s dollar reserves increased by $14 million to $1.4455 billion, while banks’ dollar deposits grew by $29 million to $540 million during the same period.
Last month, it was reported that the country's total liquid foreign reserves had increased to $19,735.7 million as of September 12, with the SBP's reserves rising slightly to $14,357.2 million.
"During the week ended 12-Sep-2025, SBP's FX reserves increased by $21 million to $14,357.2 million," the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
