The uniform of traffic wardens in Punjab will remain unchanged, following a decision by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to withdraw her earlier directive issued four months ago.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the chief minister had originally approved a change in the uniform design. In response, traffic authorities prepared a new version, which was presented recently. After reviewing both designs, the Punjab CM has decided to retain the current uniform.
Following the decision, traffic officials began preparations to procure new sets of the existing uniform. Around 14,000 uniforms and accessories are planned to be purchased for wardens across Punjab, including Lahore.
The purchase will be made using allocated funds amounting to Rs80 million.
