Gold price in Pakistan has soared to record highs, as Pakistan witnesses the biggest single-day increase in the price of 24-karat gold per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver also witnessed a new record, as gold crosses Rs450,000 per tola in Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by a record Rs14,100, reaching an all-time high of Rs456,900 in the local market.
The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold stood at Rs391,718, reflecting an increase of Rs12,089, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs359,087, showing a gain of Rs11,082.
Global gold prices on rise
In the international market, gold prices increased by $141, reaching $4,358 per ounce. The rise in global prices is attributed to renewed investor interest amid economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations.

Market analysts said the appreciation of the US dollar and shifting interest rate expectations have pushed investors towards safe-haven assets like gold.
Silver prices also see hike
Silver price in Pakistan also follows the same trend. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola witnesses a massive hike of Rs167 to reach Rs5,504, while 10 grams of silver were being sold for Rs4,718.
