Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) social media team member, Sanam Javaid, has been allegedly arrested in Peshawar under dramatic circumstances on Monday.
Her vehicle was reportedly intercepted and she was forcibly removed in front of fellow passengers.
Arrest on busy highway
According to accounts shared by PTI leaders, two vehicles blocked Sanam Javaid’s car on a busy road in Peshawar. Sheikh Waqas Akram posted on his official X account that the PTI social media activist was dragged out of her vehicle and placed into the other cars against her will.

He claimed the incident unfolded in full public view, leaving her companions shocked.
