The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported on Saturday that floods damaged 3,775 villages across 27 districts of Punjab.
According to details, the highest numbers of affected villages were in Narowal (428), Sialkot (377) and Jhang (322). The PDMA announced that the damage survey will conclude within a month. A system to assist victims has been established.
The Bank of Punjab (BoP) centres will open on site to distribute funds to those affected. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will provide damage data via mobile phones. Verification of the damage will be carried out by the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) and National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).
The tehsil committee will make the final assessment of flood damage. A special committee will address complaints and concerns from victims.
