Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport will resume today at 6pm after the cancellation of the NOTAM that had suspended air traffic, airport spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan said.
He said all flight operations had been temporarily suspended due to floodwater entering the airport premises. The water drainage process is still ongoing, but the runway, taxiway, apron, terminal building and main compound remain completely safe.
The spokesperson confirmed that all equipment installed at the airport is also fully secure.
The airport administration expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army and district administration for their support and assured that the situation is being closely monitored.
Flight operations had initially been suspended on August 28.
