A couple from Karachi’s Baldia Town has become parents of five children born simultaneously. The quintuplets — three girls and two boys — were delivered prematurely at a local private hospital through emergency C-section.
According to doctors, all five newborns were born several weeks before their due date, which has led to serious health concerns. The babies are severely underweight and experienced breathing difficulties immediately after birth. They are currently under intensive medical care and observation.
Speaking to Samaa TV, the children’s father, Adnan Sheikh, expressed gratitude and concern. “I got married just a year ago, and this is our first childbirth. While we are grateful for this blessing, the hospital expenses are beyond our reach,” he said, urging the public and authorities for financial assistance.
The hospital administration confirmed that the condition of the babies has slightly improved, but continued medical supervision is crucial for their survival and recovery.
Adnan said he was overwhelmed with joy and concern. “I never imagined Allah would bless us with five children at once. I just want them to survive and grow strong,” he said.
