Security forces killed four terrorists affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during an intelligence-based operation in the Kalat district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Upon being encircled, the terrorists opened fire on the troops, prompting a swift retaliatory response.
“In the exchange of fire, four terrorists were eliminated while their hideout was destroyed,” the ISPR said, adding that a significant quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the site.
The ISPR noted that the terrorists were involved in multiple attacks targeting security forces and were actively attempting to sabotage development initiatives in the province.
It also referred to the group as “Indian-backed Fitnaul Hindustan,” a term used to describe elements supported by foreign hostile agencies.
