Intermittent rainfall continued in Lahore on Wednesday, bringing brief relief from the heat and causing a dip in temperatures across the city.
According to the deputy director of the Meteorological Department in Lahore, Akhtar Mehmood, the rainy conditions are expected to persist for the next one to two days due to favourable wind patterns.
The official also warned that haze intensity may increase during this period, potentially affecting visibility and air quality in some areas.
“A new wave of the monsoon system is likely to enter Lahore after July 20, which may bring more widespread and sustained rainfall,” Mehmood said.
Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather alerts and take necessary precautions, especially while commuting during wet and hazy conditions.
The ongoing rainfall has provided much-needed respite to citizens amid the typically hot and humid July weather, although it has also caused waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic slowdowns in some parts of the city.
