The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned Israel’s aggression against Iran, stressing the urgent need to halt such attacks and voicing deep concern over the escalation.
In a joint declaration following a meeting of foreign ministers in Istanbul, the 57-member group denounced “Israel’s aggression against Iran” and emphasised the immediate need to stop Israeli strikes. The OIC also expressed serious alarm over the worsening situation.
The organisation announced plans to establish a ministerial contact group aimed at maintaining regular communication with international and regional actors. The objective is to support de-escalation efforts and help bring an end to the hostilities targeting Iran.
The OIC urged the international community to take “deterrent measures” to stop the aggression and hold Israel accountable for the crimes it has committed.
In a separate statement, the OIC said it is “deeply concerned” about recent US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. It labelled the action a “dangerous escalation” that could intensify tensions and pose a threat to regional peace, security, and stability.
