Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman took the opportunity during Hajj at the Holy Mosque to address the concerns of the Muslim leaders, with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also in attendance.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the meeting included a discussion between Speaker Sadiq and the Saudi crown prince. Other prominent Pakistani leaders who participated in the event included Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi.
While welcoming the guests, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his resolve for unity and solidarity in overcoming the challenges facing the Islamic world.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for his unwavering support of Pakistan, emphasising that Saudi Arabia has stood by Pakistan during every difficult time.
He also acknowledged the clear stance of the Saudi leadership regarding Pakistan, adding that the people of Pakistan hold the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in high regard.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed hope that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would further strengthen, stating that the deep brotherly ties between the two nations are based on mutual respect and trust.
