After a two-day pause, heavy rain returned to the provincial capital on Sunday evening, drenching areas such as Mall Road, Davis Road, Gulberg, and Shimla Pahari.
The downpour, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is expected to persist through the night, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD has also issued a weather warning, stating that wind-thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning from Sunday evening/night through Monday may damage loose structures including electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels.
Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the central and southern parts of the country, while a westerly wave continues to impact the upper and central regions.
