The Prime Minister's Office has firmly denied Indian hackers' claims of breaching its official website and stealing sensitive data, terming the allegations “false, fabricated, and part of a malicious false flag operation”.
Speaking to Samaa TV, the spokesperson of the PM House assured the public that the Prime Minister’s Office website is “completely secure,” rejecting the notion of any cyber breach. “The claim of hacking and data leak is baseless and has no relation to reality,” the spokesperson added.
The controversy erupted after a group of Indian hackers alleged they had infiltrated Pakistan’s high-level cyber infrastructure and accessed classified documents, including a purported letter from the Prime Minister’s Office. However, the Ministry of Information has already debunked the authenticity of that letter, declaring it “fake” and part of a larger disinformation campaign circulating on social media, the spokesperson remarked.
Government sources believe the hacking narrative is part of an orchestrated false flag operation aimed at defaming Pakistan’s national institutions and creating public unrest. “This is negative propaganda being spread by Indian cyber groups,” officials said, adding that such tactics are designed to undermine public trust and sow confusion.
Sources confirmed that the cyber systems of all key state institutions, including the PM Office, remain fully operational and uncompromised. “Pakistan’s cyber defense system is built on modern, robust frameworks. All national institutions are fully mobilized and vigilant to ensure the country’s cybersecurity,” they emphasized.
