Chitral and its surrounding areas have been experiencing intermittent rainfall since last night, while snowfall continues in the mountains and upper regions.
The weather department has forecast that this spell of rain and snow will persist until March 28.
Due to the ongoing rain, temperatures in Chitral have dropped significantly, bringing back cold weather. Light snowfall has also been reported in the Lowari Tunnel area. Despite the harsh weather, all roads in Chitral remain open for traffic. However, authorities have advised tourists and travelers to avoid unnecessary journeys for safety reasons.
