The White Oil Pipeline Project, a key development in Pakistan's energy infrastructure, has taken a significant step forward with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Stakeholders have reached an agreement for the Machike-Thaliyan-Tarujabba pipeline project, paving the way for construction to begin.
This research and development initiative, led by Frontier Works Organization, is a flagship project of Pakistan State Oil, PARCO, and Interstate Gas Systems. The pipeline will span 477 kilometers, running parallel to the motorway in two sections: Machike-Thaliyan and Thaliyan-Tarujabba.
The project aims to ensure smooth supply of petroleum products while reducing costs, potentially saving billions of rupees for the national treasury. It will also connect to refineries in Attock, Chakpirana, and Faqirabad.
With an initial supply capacity of 7 million tons annually, expandable to 10 million tons, the pipeline is designed to improve distribution efficiency, prevent adulteration, and enhance safety measures. It will cover strategic routes, reducing reliance on road transport and minimizing environmental impact.
The accelerated completion of this project demonstrates the government's and SIFC's commitment to advancing the petroleum sector in Pakistan.
