Amidst the ongoing matriculation exams for classes 9 and 10 in various cities of Sindh, students and teachers in Karachi have encountered significant challenges due to power outages and delays in receiving examination papers.
In North Nazimabad's Block F Government Boys School, students and teachers faced a lack of electricity, exacerbating the already stressful examination environment.
Moreover, the ban on the use of mobile phones could also not be implemented, allowing students to freely use their devices at examination centres, which the education board had banned.
The situation further worsened as reports indicated a continuation of the longstanding issue of receiving examination papers late. Furthermore, despite reports of leaked papers, Board Chairman Sharaf Ali has dismissed the allegations.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by examination centers where papers arrived late, the chairman announced the provision of additional time to compensate for the delays. However, concerns remain regarding the integrity and efficiency of the examination process, especially in light of recurring issues with paper distribution.
Earlier, reports surfaced indicating that the Grade 9 computer science paper was leaked on social media platforms on the day of the examination. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) found itself in a quandary, unable to confirm the authenticity of the leaked paper at this juncture.
A spokesperson for BSEK conveyed that investigations are ongoing to ascertain whether the circulating paper is indeed genuine or a fabrication. The uncertainty surrounding the situation has added to the anxiety of students and authorities alike.
