The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Friday resolved to continue the "struggle for democracy".
According to JI spokesperson Qaiser Sharif, the party acting emir, Liaquat Baloch, and PTI leader Asad Qaiser held a telephonic conversation.
PTI leader Asad Qaiser urged the need to move forward by removing misunderstandings. "In the past, there were confusions in line with the contacts," he added.
Meanwhile, Baloch said: "We [JI] acknowledge the struggle and sacrifices of the PTI workers. The JI is struggling for the uplift of law, constitution, and democracy."
"There is a dire need to forget the bilateral differences and move forward in a bid to lead towards economic and political stability."

Few days back, the PTI and JI resolved to put up struggle against alleged "rigging" polls in the recently held general elections.
According to details, the PTI delegation called on Haq. On this occasion, both parties had agreed to join hands for the supremacy of the law and constitution. The PTI and JI had expressed their resolve to uphold democracy.
On this occasion, the country's political situation was also underscored.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Asad Qaiser, Omar Ayub, Junaid Akbar, and Dr. Amjad Ali Khan.
