The Pakistan’s national hockey team have left Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport for the Netherlands and Belgium to take part in the Hockey World Cup.
The Hockey World Cup will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30, with Pakistan set to compete in the tournament.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has released an allowance of Rs20 million for the players before the World Cup. The foreign daily allowance has also been transferred to the players’ accounts.
According to the PHF, all logistical arrangements for the national team have been completed. Travel, accommodation and meals for the players and coaches have also been arranged.
Pakistan Hockey Federation Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said the welfare of the players and coaches was the federation’s top priority. He said all financial and administrative arrangements had been completed before the team’s departure.
The national hockey team will enter the World Cup with a determination to produce a better performance and achieve success.
