The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has warned against the illegal sale and purchase of foreign SIM cards, saying their use could lead to legal complications.
The PTA said people using illegal foreign SIMs could put their personal and financial information at risk. It advised citizens to buy mobile SIM cards only from the nearest franchise or a registered outlet.
The PTA also urged buyers to make sure that the SIM card is registered in their own name at the time of purchase.
