Iran's Ministry of Health said on Thursday that US military attacks over the past two days have killed 14 people and injured 78 others across five provinces, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continued to escalate following a second consecutive day of military strikes.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said US attacks targeted five provinces over the past 48 hours, leaving 14 people dead and 78 others wounded.

The ministry did not immediately provide a province-wise breakdown of the casualties or identify the victims.
Second day of strikes
The casualty update came after the United States carried out a fresh wave of attacks on approximately 90 Iranian military targets, saying the operation was intended to reduce Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping and freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), the strikes targeted air defence systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage facilities, naval capabilities and military logistics infrastructure along Iran's southern coastline.
The operation followed attacks a day earlier that Washington said were launched in response to Iranian strikes on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran retaliates
Hours after the latest US operation, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, further intensifying the regional confrontation.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, as well as the Juffair Naval Base in Bahrain.
